    dollar express renewal

I have an email from Dollar Car Rental advising that my credit card is due for renewal
    Is this a scam[V]
If not then I dont recall registering a credit card. I always have booked dollar through this site and dont actually therefore book direct.

In any case there does not seem to be a 'renewal' page on their web site link, which asks for a US driving licence and linked zip code.
Any clues as to whats going on Roger?

Incidentally returned today from Florida and Dollar car hire thhrough this site. Good service, although I had to change the car after driving 20 yards, no problem with the change but why dont they check the cars properly - tyre pressure warning light came on and I was not going to risk it. TOld them and they just arranged a new car BUT put the old car keys in with the rest, for some one else to have the same problem!

If you log on to Dollar Express with the username and password details you assigned yourself then you will be able to update your card details. When you first joined up you will (or should) have entered your card details.

I don't think the email you received was a scam, but to be safe, dont follow the links on the email, but just go direct to https://ww2.dollar.com/Express/Login...ess/login.aspx

You do need to have registered your credit card at some stage, at least we did. Can't remember if it was on line or when we got to the dollar desk. This means that you don't have to swipe your card when you pick up your car.

We waited until we got to the dollar desk on our December visit and they just swiped and updated the card when we collected our vehicle so you could just do this if you are nervous about updating on line.

I have their original letter dated 2005 but I have no note of an ID nor password[:I][:I]
When I use the link given and the forgotten password link it asks questions relating to driving license ( which would be UK and a zip code which is not relevant.

Personally I'd justy say not to worry about it. It just means you will need to show your card on collection of the car, but you can still use the Express Line anyhow.

Ian we had a similar email a few months ago - like you I couldn't remember the login details so just 'ignored' it! When we arrived to collect our car they asked me for a new card as the old one had expired and the guy at the desk just updated it for me - no problems whatsoever.
