    They are shut, Shirley, so we will have a sleepless night. If Denise had not posted this thread we would not have known until we went to check in online 24 hours before our flight. I am SO grateful to her. But it is touch and go as by now most flights are booked. I do not know how long ago they cancelled the flight. BA won't give any details. Although it says on their website we can rebook a different flight that is not as straightforward as it seems, and it certainly is not something BA will help with.

    How on earth can they cancel your flight and not let you know - either BA or Opodo? I shudder to think what this would have meant if we had not found it out today. [msnscared]

    The way the system works Opodo should have let you know, but please don't worry as there are loads of empty seats on other flights. This has only just happened and may possibly be due to staff shortages caused by cabin crew now coming under the 900 hours rule that already govern flight deck crew. I'm not making excuses for management at BA, but it seems they are actually looking ahead at last. Hopefully it will just mean an extra day in Florida for you [msnwink]

    No probs Ellie, it just makes it difficult to find later as who would think to look in Car Hire if they wanted to find info about flight cancellations?

    Ellie I'm sorry to hear about your worries, these things always happen when you can't do anything about it straight away and it is sooo frustrating. Quite often with these large online travel agents there is a way of sending them an email which has a quick guaranteed response time (think they call it live help or words to that effect). You usually find this facility on the home page. I recently had a query with last minute.com and they responded by email far easier and far cheaper than if I had called them. They responded within 2 hours and completely sorted my problem out. If nothing else it acts as a secondary back up to a phone call. I hope you get it sorted soon.
