Ellie I'm sorry to hear about your worries, these things always happen when you can't do anything about it straight away and it is sooo frustrating. Quite often with these large online travel agents there is a way of sending them an email which has a quick guaranteed response time (think they call it live help or words to that effect). You usually find this facility on the home page. I recently had a query with last minute.com and they responded by email far easier and far cheaper than if I had called them. They responded within 2 hours and completely sorted my problem out. If nothing else it acts as a secondary back up to a phone call. I hope you get it sorted soon.
