    Hi

We are getting married in May 2009 and plan to honeymoon in Florida. Around the Kissimee area in a villa. How far in advance to owners up their books for dates?

If you want to reserve a date most owners will take your booking

Should you find a villa you like it would be best to secure your dates as soon as possible[msnsmile]

All that is required usually is a non refundable deposit

As Linda has said most villa owners will take a booking now.

I have several weeks booked for 2009 already and I'm sure there are other owners with 2009 dates booked too, so you will have no problem booking May 2009. Penny, as you are planning your wedding I think you have the best idea looking for your villa now. There is always more choice the earlier you book. A booking deposit will reserve dates for you with any chosen villa and your remaining balance will not be payable until approx 12 - 10 weeks prior to your holiday (this varies slightly with each individual owner). It's great fun looking for that special home for your holiday. Have you looked at the villa websites below, there are many, many beautiful homes to choose from.

    I hope that helps.

I would agree - if you have something special in mind then now is the time to be 'putting out feelers' and making enquiries. It's a great time of year to do it - looking at all the lovely pictures of beautiful villas and gorgeous pools in the sunshine is a real antidote to the winter blues!!
    Have fun!

As others have said, most owners will be accepting bookings now for 2009 providing you were prepared to secure it with a deposit. They would probably also allow you a little flexibility on the dates, to give you time to check out and book your flights.

You certainly will get plenty of choice by booking early, you will be able to browse and find a villa with perhaps a lake view that would give you loads of privacy for a romantic honeymoon.
Enjoy searching and best wishes for the future
