Which Currency to hire in USD or GBP

I am aware that us www.uscarhire.co.uk offers some excellent deals and seem to be one of the cheapest sites, however I am also aware that this site charges in Sterling.

With the exchange rate as it is currently why is it not better to book in USD as it would appear you should get more for your money currently.

As you say, these are excellent deals and are only available to UK guests. Roger and John work very hard to negotiate these fantastic deals. They also offer something which you cannot equate in either dollars or sterling - superb service and a personal touch which is not available on other sites.

If you paid in dollars you would no doubt pay a charge from your credit card for doing so, and this might well negate any savings.

Having looked at some American car hire sites they may well seem cheap at first glance, but when you add in all the extras, including insurances, it soon becomes apparent that they are very expensive.

If you pay in sterling you will not pay any additional charges from your credit card company, and there is no charge for paying with a credit or debit card, so for me it is a win win situation.

Been there, done that. Not worth the hassle at the pickup desk. With a voucher from USCarHire, all paid at a great rate, why mess around?
    Regards, Mark
