    We have finally booked!

After much deliberation and searching for the best possible prices we have finally booked our first trip with new baby. We are going at Easter next year and got some good miles plus money flights with Virgin - mainly due to the fact that the usual half term school holidays are now in April. However the girls have inset days either side of the bank holdays making it an extra long weekend so they dont miss as much school as they otherwise would. We have never done Easter before so I will probably have a few questions for those of you that have been before at this time. We also have a larger party with new babe and mother in law in tow which poses a few transport issues in getting from Bristol to Gatwick as our car is not large enough[msncry] especially with buggy and car seats ect. I will also need to refresh myself on flying with a baby as the last time was 5 years ago and before all the new regulations regarding liquid ect.
So much to plan and do but I love it, love it - just need to pay for now though[msnscared]
    Ah well

    Hi Heidi,

Congratulations on booking your holiday, I'm sure you will all have a fantastic time.

I can't offer any advice on flying with a baby I'm afraid as I never ventured onto a plane until my youngest was 9 but I'm sure there will be lots of people on here who can offer tips and advice.

Depending on who you fly with you should be allowed to board first. Also I think the regulations for liquids say that you can take the amount needed for the flight only in the cabin with you. The airline will probably supply you with a flying cot for the babay (dependant on age) so let them know in advance what your needs are.
The flight will be forgotten when you land in Florida and start to experience all it has to offer.
    Have a great time.
