I managed to activate mine really quickly on launch night - I surprised myself as I was expecting it to be slow as everyone else would have been trying to do the same. It did seem to get stuck on the page where you choose an O2 username but I refreshed the screen and it quickly moved on to the next stage.

Wow - although I'm not surprised at all. I absolutely love my iPhone and have hardly stopped using it since I bought it. The ability to keep up with OV wherever I am and whatever I am doing is worth it's weight in gold alone.

I changed my phone last week and considered the iPhone, but opted instead for the Nokia N85.

Disaster - can't get it to work properly at all, you need to be a real techie to set it up and I have neither the time nor the patience. I transferred my contacts across from my previous Nokia and it lost about 25% of the numbers in the process. You can't imagine the problems it caused me. Can't get my damn email to work, keeps telling me "packet data not available" and the battery life just about exactly matches my patience with the blasted thing. Whilst on the train home on Friday for two hours I discovered that it has the latest Spiderman movie already built into it, which seems entirely suitable - hours of uselessly going round in circles until you give up in disgust. I left that movie before the end in the cinema and it's much worse on a miniature screen.

I'm giving it to my son who might be able to drive it properly and getting something more in keeping with my technical ability (and age, probably).
