Liesa I have been looking for August as well. BA 25th August - 8th September August £477 is the best direct flight I can find at the moment.

Around 22nd-25th the prices usually come down in August as many people dont want to take their children off for the start of the new school year as it's an important time for settling with new teachers etc

Thanks Sally - I think you must be departing from one of the London airports? Unfortunately, our nearest airport for scheduled flights is Manchester and the flights flying out from there seem to be more expensive for us Northeners [msnsad]. I've just checked the BA site and the best price is £632. I will probably have to look around or perhaps put our dates back a little but thanks for the info, I'll certainly keep an eye on the BA prices
