    Davenport

We are looking at villas for next year ans wondered if you could give your views on the places we have narrowed it down to. We are looking at the Davenport area because having stayed there a couple of times we like it so any differences or all much of a muchness?! We are looking at Esprit, Tuscan Hills, Aylesbury, Sunset Ridge, Tuscan Ridge and Sunridge Woods. Thanks

Davenport is a lovely area, very convenient to Disney but close to the wonderful Florida countryside, where you can walk through orange groves. It is a developing area so there are lots of new restaurants and shops, including a SuperWalmart on Highway 27. Everything is so convenient, yet you are a stone's throw from the peace and tranquility of the countryside, such as Lake Louisa State Park.

Esprit is a delightful community, with an executive Golf Course which meanders through the development. It also borders the stunning 400 acre Lake Davenport, which is a conservation area of great beauty. There are tennis and basketball courts and a large communal swimming pool with cabana and sun deck for guests to use.

There are many lovely developments in Davenport and you can find out about them if you search for villas on these sites.

Of course we all think our own communities are the best, but am sure you will enjoy your stay wherever you choose!

I like Tuscan hills it looks a nice place to stay for a holiday....we have a place on Tuscan Ridge...I like the feeling that you are living more like an American there...the Village is mostly locals...who are very nice and friendly....lovely villa's....the only let down for some is the pool area's are not always that big...but if you get a place overlooking the countryside of the ridge...you get a larger pool and patio and a great view on an evening...

We too are officially in Davenport but we feel and in fact are geographically closer to Kissimmee. The area is quite widespread and as Ellie says there is a lot of development going on at the moment with new shops and restaurants. There is still a sense of the country though which is what appealed to us. You're close to all the attractions but away from the hustle and bustle.

Wherever you choose for next year your sure to have a great time.
