    Splash Mountain

This ride is still one of the best if you have young children with you that make the height (40' I think). We all love it, especially with a fast pass.

Definitely use the fast pass as we queued for nearly 1.5 hours to go on this. Great ride and you will get wet.

The flume is pretty high and steep. But it is more than just a log flume because of all the audio animatronic singing animals. Zippady-doo-dar!! You just cant stop yourself joining in.

Keep your eyes on Cinderella's Castle as you drop down the flume. Very intense feeling.

The interior of this ride makes it well worth going on even if you are terrified of the drop! My mum and my gran both went on it more than once and they hate these kind of rides!!!

Tip: Keep your eyes open as you go down the drop or you'll miss one of the best effects of the ride!!

My mum especially likes the end set with zip-a-dee-doo-da! It makes her visit to Disney complete!!!

Splash mountain is going to be refurbed shortly although, in typical Disney fashion, it's not known how long it will be closed or when this will take place (reported in Orlando Sentinel). It is thought that the refurb will include upgraded restraints.

I hope it will not be closed in October when we next go over, the children (and I!) will be devestated.

The refurb had already started when we were last there, 5th - 12th January.
