He is so lovely Liesa. He looks bigger with every picture I see. He will be lots of fun for you all. You will have to get him along to training classes when he is old enough or else you will need a pair of trainers to run behind him. They are lovely dogs. I hope your all very Happy. [msnsmile2]

Leisa, You could have called in for a coffee we are 1 mile off jctn 15 Stoke-on-Trent and then we could have made friends with diesel, perhaps he could become the 'online' mascot.

Hi Liesa, Hows the house training going? Bet he is well settled in now. You will have to post pics every week of him so we can see how he is doing. Hows your knee doing? Any news when you will be going back in?

We used to show and breed harlequin Great Danes. You are so lucky to have one of these gentle giants in your life Liesa.
My Dane 'Boot' was like a nanny to my son when he was a baby.

hes being so good, he tinkles on either the puppy pads or in the garden, hes learning to bring the ball to me and drop it on the patio so i throw for him, hes so clever, hes already tried burying the toys i take out in the garden for him to play with, hes brilliant at nights but have probably just jinxed myself, we leave a radio on quietly for him, and he has his doggy teddys, we feel like hes always been here, he brings so much happiness into our lives! hes had his first bath, he was muddy from playing with his bro's and sis's and mum, hes just so much pleasure to have around, its like i have a new baby without the 9 months of carrying it, we have also watched him grown before our very eyes, he looks bigger to us!
thanks for all your kind comments

Oh Liesa he's sooo handsome! Danes are soo daft but believe me he'll protect you if push comes to shove. My sister has had two and we could do anything with them, but both were put to the test and came through for her!

Karen - how strange I lost my beardie too in June - she was 16. I'm down to one now(4 Years)and she's lovely such good company.
I've just got back from a beautiful 4 miles walk in this glorious sunshine. Jess had the time of her life boucing through the fields - its something I wouldn't do without a dog. Don't they just give so much!!!
