    Yes Liesa.
I have done that myself a few years back, when Home Depot was new to me. I was able to buy loads of new tools that you could not get back home, and flew them back in my baggage, but hey, weren't they heavy.........

We always bring tools home for my hubby as they are so much cheaper in the Us than here, we pack them in our suitcases.

    Hi, Liesa,

I have brought home tools as well, great prices[msnsmile2].
I put them in the hold luggage, (no prob with Virgin baggage allowance)
Just be aware they might take them off you at security these days[msnsad]if its in your cabin bags.
A friend of mine tried to bring a Chain Saw a couple of years ago, but as they could smell!!! petrol he was refused. There was no petrol or oil in it but they still refused, he got it through a few months later, after the smell had gone [msnwink]

I don't know what these are, but think about whether they are solid mass metal objects that will be a problem when being scanned. Things such as screwdrivers could be used as weapons so may not be allowed

Hand luggage allowance is only 6kg in most places Liesa so I think he'll have to pack them.

My hubby bought back a large tool set a few years ago but it was in its own case so we just checked it through as one piece of luggage (it was a bit shorter than a set of golf clubs and a bit wider.

Dont forget the duty on them though if its more than £145.
