Hi. Not sure if it is any help. I have disabilities too - both hips replaced so do have problems with seats. We flew this time with BA and their special needs department were very helpful - got the wheelchair treatment no problem and I fancied the seats had more room. Had bulkhead seats - we flew to Tampa and then drove to Crescent Lakes. On the return the plane was not full so they let us change to whatever seats we wished. I think BA were heaps better than Virgin although both of them were very helpful over the phone regarding special needs and Virgin do have a twilight check in. Flying to Tampa seemed less crowded than Orlando and it is only 75 minutes down the road so to speak.
