Tag Heuer Watch

Has anyone flown back to the UK from Orlando Airport recently and if you did any chance that you had a look at the Tag Heuer watches ( ladies ) and remembered the prices roughly?. I need a new strap for mine and the prices I have been quoted her in the UK to replace it has made me think maybe its time I was treat to a new one!

I don't know about in the Airport but my friend bought a watch at the Tag Heuer store in Premium Outlets and that was $1300 - although the prices did vary a lot according to design.

I wouldn't buy a watch in the UK any more. I recently bought a DKNY dress watch in a jewellers in Florida and it was actually half the price (including tax)of the exact same watch I'd seen in the Duty Free shop in Manchester airport. You can even get a Rolex for about $4000 over there, if you want to splash out [msnwink]. Imagine the price of that in the UK!

Yes that the the total including tax.

As Blott says you have to consider the tax implications, personally I wouldn't risk it but it's something my friend has done in other countries too and it was her risk not mine.

You can (just) get a Rolex in the UK for the equivalent of that. If you had to pay the taxes on entry, the same amount would give you a decent range of Rolex watches here.

I priced a more expensive Rolex for my hubby, and it wasn't much different to UK at all.
As with Tag Heuer -I bought mine in Florida, because it was a one off. However, if you are looking at price, this one was expensive full stop -if you want to look for ones cheaper than UK, go to the outlets- a friend of mine got one with diamante round the face for about £800 in Fl, and its £1200 in UK.

I Have a Tag watch which was purchased the UK. When we were last over at the Villa I went to have a look in the Tag shop in the Premium Outlets, just to compare prices. The watch I have, was in the shop and was on offer, I can't remember the exact figure, but it was less in Dollars than I paid in Pounds [msnoo]

So there are definately, some fantastic offers to be had, but there is the duty to consider.
