Start of a long vacation - Part 3 amended version

    Monday 1st Oct.

Just pottered around the villa, read my book, watched TV and so to bed.

    Tuesday 2nd Oct

Decided to go and try out the new JC Penney at the Loop so set off after a lazy morning and visited Mimi’s Café which I have heard a lot about. Had a great chicken pasta and a small piece of their lovely crusty bread. Took the leftovers home with me.

Arriving at JC Penney, I found the car parks full to overflowing but sat and waited for a slot. I was armed with my $10 discount of any item voucher, and boy was I going to buy something, even if I didn’t want it!! [msnwink] Inside was packed and there were at least 50 people at the bank of tills, but being the true Brit, I patiently waited for 20 minutes to save $10 on a small rug. I was going to visit some of the other shops but knee sore so decided to head back to the villa where I just chilled and had an early night.[zzz][zzz]

    Wednesday 3rd Oct

Another lazy day reading and catching up with emails. By 8pm I decided to call round to a friends house who lives close by, and spent a few more hours catching up.[chatter][chatter] Walked home in the rain and it was so refreshing after an extremely hot and humid day.

    Thursday 4th Oct

    Nothing different……….

    Friday 5th Oct

With our OV trip tonight I decided to visit the local Hair Salon at ChampionsGate. I was very lucky as no one was waiting so I got seen straight away and they did a good job with my hair.[msnsmile] I then went home to await my chauffeurs Alan and Rosie who were bang on time and off we went to Cheesecake Factory.[clap][clap] Everybody turned up, I think it was 22 and a gorgeous baby, and we all went on to have a great meal and lots of chatting.[chatter][chatter] It was so good to put names and faces together, and it was a pity that I didn’t manage to get a chat with everyone. We wound our way home soon after 11pm and I watched TV for a couple of hours before falling into bed.[zzz]

    Saturday 6th Oct

Decided to go shopping today, so after the routine trip to Home Depot for bits and bobs arrived at Florida Mall. I had forgotten it was Columbus Weekend, so again, a packed car park. Went into Dillards and managed just a few little bargains at 75% plus an extra 30% off just had to buy.[msnwink] Feeling hungary, walked down to Ruby Tuesday and had a lovely help yourself salad with a bowl of chilli chicken and bean soup. Yummy. With renewed energy from somewhere, went back to Dillards as hubby likes a lot of their bargains, but there were so many, he can look himself as he is due here on Friday. Drove back around 8pm. And became a couch potato once again…….to be continued but afraid this abridged version seems a bit boring.

Did I miss something - inappropriate? Must have passed me by. Sounds like it was a good night at Cheescake Factory. It is good to hear other people's reports on what they get up to whilst at the villa but the only problem is it makes me want to be there so much.

I didn't find anything inappropriate, but amended version isn't boring wither, I am really enjoying it- I have never ventured to the villa on my own, but you make me want to!! [Trouble is hubby & 14 year old son would never forgive me!]

good to hear all the upset hasn't managed to ruin your appetite Sandra and that you're still having a great time [msnsmile][msnwink]

Can I just politely ask that this is kept on topic and not a discussion of the merits of the original post .

The Trip Reports section is here to discuss vacationing in Florida and the original post was more relevant for home owners and not guests so it was removed from here. Sometimes it's a tough call if something is relevant to one section of the forums or another but it's something the admins and mods have to do so the forum runs smoothly and people searching the forums find relevant info quickly and easily.

look after yourself, your health doesnt need all the work your having to do, you'll end up with more problems with your knee if you dont relax a little take care xxx
