Eagles have landed - part one (with pic)

September 19th saw seven of us book in on twilight check-in for Travel City Direct (first timers for this airline and had read some awful comments about this company but the price was just too good to miss out)Flying out was Me (Jan), hubby (Bill), son (Kevin), son (Tony- FIRST TRIP TO FL), daughter in law (Kate), Grand son (Owen) and daughter (Emma). Check-in went easily and quickly and staff were very pleasent.

Following morning went smoothly, plane boarded on time but left a little late but made time up on flight. Great flight, lots of legroom and seats were wider than BA or Virgin. Food was very good and crew great[beer]

Sanford had certainly upgraded from my last visit to it in 2001, customs and baggage took an hour and a half, nothing new there. Dollar used the Express card and instant service, unfortunately allocated us a car which we were unable to find in the carpark and had to ask them to locate (not there) Given another 8 seater but I insisted on them making a note in their records that the floors were filthy and badly stained, not happy but had got tired of hanging around the airport so accepted but not gracefully[V]

Stopped at KFC in Old Town and bought takeaway, then drove straight to villa.

Good start Jan. We had the same problem with Dollar at Sanford. We had ordered a convertible the first one they gave us was a PT Cruiser conv. We didn't want that so went back and they allocated us a Sebring which we couldn't locate (not there). They did eventually find us one though but after a long flight you don't need the hassle[msnsad].

That was my one and only regret, Liesa. Holiday was absolutely great and I feel so relaxed, my job is so!!! stressful and before i went on holiday I was snapping instantly at everyone.
