Start of a long vacation - Part 2

    Friday

Got up about 0700, again the middle of the night for me and pottered around after having my much needed coffee. I then found various bits of furniture in the villa with glue on them, so sent out a message on the forum in case anyone knew of a good product. I had barely finished the post when my doorbell rang. I wondered who on earth it was as it was still early morning. To my utter amazement, there was CDV complete with a spray of Goo Gone. The shock was that she had told me she was arriving on Saturday, so she was the last person expected by me.[msnoo] She soon got to work and in a short space of time all my furniture was glue free!!!

Four hours later, drinking only water, and having no food in the house, we were both exhausted with all the chatter.[chatter][chatter] I could not even offer CDV my ‘sawdust and bananas’ that I had been threatening her with. So, off to Publix to fill the fridge up with all the healthy things the SW ladies would expect me to buy. Chilled out the rest of the day and got several bits and bobs sorted out between chilling. Had an early night.[zzz][zzz]

    Saturday

Could not believe I got up early again. Made my coffee and went out on the deck with a perfect temperature and blue skies. This is what it’s all about. I was daydreaming when suddenly heard all this whirring noises, and there were 7 balloons above me. Fabulous and I did not even have my camera. Of course, I know they go up all the time, but me being a late riser, have never had the experience of them above my villa. Fabulous start to the day. Did not do much except general villa owner things that one needs to do, then went for a short walk round. Could not walk too far but managed to make it to CDV’s door and we spent another hour or so chatting.[chatter][chatter] On my walk back, met with some other owners who were over but just driving to the airport for their journey home. Watched TV, read my book and again, bed early. Aren’t I boring?

    Sunday

Sat out on the deck in extremely hot sunshine drinking my coffee, doorbell rings. I answer it and who is standing there, Mr.CDV!!! [msnoo] We had been led to believe CDV was on her own this trip……. So more coffee, water, not even beer and of course more chatting. We were having a Windwood Bay Owners meet at Manny’s in the evening, with only 4 of us. However, Rosie and Alan popped round so they joined us, another couple did not turn up as they got the day wrong, but we had a table for 5 and yet more chatter and exchanges. I felt quite exhausted when I got home with all the chatter, and I can talk for England. Watched some TV and so to bed.

Have to ask - where did the glue come from, you will be having a sore jaw to match the knee with all the [chatter][chatter][chatter][msnwink] but as they keep telling us - it's good to talk

Sawdust and banana - The sawdust is something called Scan Bran that they sell at the Slimming World clubs. I haven't tried it myself as it doesn't look very appetising.
