Ravtinos Trip Days 7 8 9 with photos

    Wed 8th

Lazy morning ( well I went for a bike ride)
We arranged to go to Ana and family around 12 and at 1.45 we set off for the Sugar Mill at De Leon Spring for pancakes, diversion on the way so Ana asked a Sherrif for another way so we were off again, arrived around 4 lovely setting and the grounds looked great it would have been nice to spend more time there, people were swimming in the lake, anyway we went in and sat down and ordered food, the switched on the griddles and brought the batter etc and away we went making our own pancakes, I have to say it was very very hot[msneek][msnoo]

At 5ish we decided to head down to Cocoa Beach to see the shuttle, we got as far as Titusville and decided we would not get any furhter so we pulled on to the verge and walked over to the beach, we had 10 mins to spare, there were a lot of people there, we were right oppositte the launch pad so the view was good, then wosh away it went[clap],

this is the second time we have been lucky enough to see one go up and it is a great sight.

We decided to let the crowds thin out a bit and then head to Cocoa Beach, well this was the plan but by the time we arrived it was 8.45 so we went to Subway for something to eat and then set off back, and I have to say this was the journey from hell, the traffic was terrible and then a bloke on a motorbike tried to go down the hardshoulder bit and as he went round a car he skidded in front of Ana and came off[msnscared] Well Ana put her hazzards on and so did I and Phil got out followed by Rob and they got the guy and the bike off the road, a car went round me and onto the verge and he got out, turns out it was and off duty cop and he had seen him, he asked him if he was drunk[msnoo], well Rob annd Phil picked his belongings out of the road and Ana and I moved onto the verge, Rob said the guy was in a rush to get going but he wasen't going nowhere[msnoo]Rob said his helmet was dented so he was lucky, Phil asked the cop if we could go and he said Yes, needless to say the rest of the journy was a nightmare and it was 12.30 ish when we arrived back at the villa. What a night[msneek]

    Thur 9th

Day chillin, went to Target and Bealls late afternoon called at Subway at Champions Gate on way back.

    Fri 10th

This morning we went upto 192 to get a charger for my camera as I had forgotton it, checked a few prices, decided at what they were asking it would be cheaper to get a camera[msnwink] Anyway the last shop we went in was cheaper but I said it was still too expensive so he asked mw what I wanted to pay, so I barted Rob went away saying he wasn't with me[msnembarrased] anyways I got one[clap]

I then saw the Kripsy Kreme shop so that was a def and in we went yum yum,we just love them, from here we to meet Ana and family at Downtown Disney to go for an ice cream at Ghiradellis(spelling) then we left them and went to Lego shop again!![msnwink]then it was back to villa.

We then went round to Ana's as it was our last night together as they were flying back to San Francisco in the morning and we were heading down the coast, and had invited more people so we all chatted and had a great time (thanks Ana) and we left at 11.30, rather sad to see them go[msnsad][msnsad]

All for now folks more soon

another great report, can you give me an idea of how far away (drive time) is de leon spring, we're staying nr champions gate

making your own pancakes seems a great idea of brekkie, do you have to book? and could we easily spend half a day in the area (are there things to see/do etc)

    thanks

Mizzy I would allow around 2 hours for the drive could be less depending on traffic, Yes you could spend 1/2 a day there as it is in a state park so there are lots to explore, you can even have BQ's[msnsmile2]

Sorry I'm late posting but it's been great reading your reports Jacqueline!

It was lovely to remember our days out - even the bits I'd rather forget like that mad motorcyclist!!

We were sorry to leave when you were still mid holiday [msnsad]

At least we can look forward to next year, eh????!!!!
