The Johnson family vacation 2007 - part 11

Sunday 2/9/07

And so the last day of our trip had arrived. We had decided to check in at Downtown Disney and got there just before 12.00pm. There was only one party in front of us so we were soon checked in where we discovered we had a 45 minute delay. The charge had gone up (on 1/9/07!) to $10 per person but it was still well worth it.

We then went for a last walk round DTD before we let Barney have one last happy meal at McDonalds. The rest of us had decided to give Wolfgang Puck a try as we hadn't been there before. It was another hit, Alan and I shared the quesedillas to start which I followed with a really good BBQ chicken pizza while Alan had a spicy pasta dish, Sam had pizza and Barney just had milk.

I had been craving an ice cream sundae for a few days and was planning to walk round to Ghiradellis. However as we came out of Wolfgang Pucks, I spotted the Haagen Dazs cafe on the corner so nipped in for a mint dazzle sundae - mint choc chip ice cream layered with oreo cookies and hot fudge sauce all topped off with whipped cream. Oh well, the diet starts tomorrow!!

A quick look at the time and we decided we still had an hour left so we headed for the nearest mini gof which was the Fantasia course. t was really hot so I volunteered to be scorer and water carrier. It was a really fun course and a nice way to finish off our trip.

All too soon, it was time to go to the airport. We dropped the car off and were so glad we had used DTD as the queue for check in at the airport was massive.

We spent the last of our dollars on some drinks, a Transformers puzzle book for Barney and a Daily Mail for Sam so he could check the football scores.

We finally boarded about 1 hour late but the flight passed really quickly. Between us we watched Fracture, Fantastic 4, Wild Hogs and Vacancy and Barney managed about 4 hours sleep. On landing we were waiting for our cases for a while as there was a problem off loading them fron the plane.

After collecting the car from The Hilton, we dropped Sam off at his home in Barnsley and then carried on to our house in Sheffield.

We had enjoyed another fantastic holiday in Florida and we can't wait to go back again.
