Is anyone like me just about to start applying for secondary schools for the first time? I'm not looking forward to this I can tell you.

will you have big sis to help Nikki?, it can be a very stressful time but better if you have someone to talk too, i'm sure Paula will have lots of help to guide you through this[msnsmile]

My 10 y/o son is sitting an entrance exam right now for a grammar school bless him[msnscared]

Hope all goes well for him Julie. Lucy has hers a week on sat I think. I'm glad I only have the one to go through this with. Your right of course Marie Paula can help lots and already has so far its just the wait I'm not looking forward too.
Julie are your schools doing the same as ours this year? we will be told in October if our kids have passed the entrance exam or not ahead of the application forms going in in November.

Nikki, my son is taking 3 or 4 exams and Yes we will hear from the first one in Oct, second one late Oct and third late Nov just in time to put your 1st choice on the LEA form.

Mizzy Yes it was his first 'real' exam this morning and it was tough, 700 pupils for 168 places[msneek] luckily it is not his first choice but it is a very good grammar school.

Hope your son did well yesterday Julie. Hope he does well with them all. I am made up they have changed the rules of the exams so you can find out sooner.
