Hi Peewee, glad to hear you have managed to decide which cruise to go on.

There are many American websites available to book cruises from, and some are happy to deal with Brits. It really depends on the cruise line as some refuse to allow Brits to benefit from the very low prices available to American cruisers.

There are plenty of British websites which offer great prices on cruises, and am not sure if NCLs own website would be the best to deal with.

I would definitely try some of the American websites first and see how far you get. As a villa owner we do have an address in the US, so that helps, but some companies will send all the paperwork to the UK, or you can pick up tickets on the dockside on the day you sail. However, nowadays, many companies do online check in and you can print off your boarding cards direct from your computer.

I cannot post any websites on here but you can DM me.

Sandra, I am very interested in your comments about Carnival, and although we are sadly no longer in the 40's category we would certainly give them a try if the right cruise came our way.

    Hello Again,

    Thanks for your DM Ellie.

We've now booked NCL for December and are just wondering whether the VISA waiver form we fill in on the flight in to Orlando will cover us for the cruise. The ship is heading to the East Caribbean so will call at Samana, Tortoal, St Thomas and Great Stirrup Cay.

    Can anyone advise on this?

    [msnsmile]Thanks again!

Yes, it is no problem. You will go through immigration on your disembarkation, and you don't need to worry about it at all.

Some lovely ports there, Peewee, especially St Thomas, my favourite island. Totola is a pretty little island, too.

There are several articles on cruising in the Florida guide if you are interested.[msnwink]
