    downtown disney dining

we have never really paid much attention to DTD and only visited quickly for the virgin check in

on our first trip we had a lovely meal at Fultons Crab House and i was wondering if anyone can suggest other places to eat at DTD for lunch/tea times

dd is a veggie so we need to cater for her too

    thanks in advance[msnsmile]

    Hi Mizzy

I know you have the 2 kids so you could try Rain Forest Cafe. I popped into planet Holywood on our last trip but decided not to eat there as the tables were so squeezed in and I don't think this would suit your children. I'm sure others will be along with other suggestions but these are all I have experience of at DTD - except Mcdonalds and I don't think you want to go there.

We love the food and the atmosphere is great at the House of Blues. Not sure about vegetarian options though but I know they have a menu on their website.

Portobello yacht club is fab - typically Italian so I'm sure there were veggie options.

forgot to say, if a restaurant is overly loud then usually it's a no go for us, dd is extremely noise sensitive and i like to eat in peace[msnscared]

Mizzy, I would avoid planet hollywood and Rainforest cafe then, I'm deaf in one ear and have real problems hearing conversation across the table in PH.

Portobello should be fine, especially if you sit outside (our favourite)

Marie, if you are just wanting a snack rather than a "sit down" meal there is the Earl of Sandwich or for an ice cream the lovely Ghiardelli's [msntongue] [msntongue]

Have to say that we have eaten in a few places at DD, and Particularly like Rainforest, a tip for a quieter , much quieter meal is to go for late lunch, and then be there for early evening. Planet Hollywood was quite empty when we ate there last Oct at a lunchtime, no squeezing in, and much more relaxed[msnsmile2]
