    Opera legend Pavarotti dies at 71
    Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti dies at the age of 71 after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.

    Although many people are not great opers fans , he muct be one of the worlds most famous.

    I heard on the news late last night he was gravely ill and they were expecting the worse.

    I love classical/Opera music, he will be sadly missed.

    he will be sadly missed Jacqueline but the music lives on forever, such a wonderful man and a huge talent

    He will be sadly missed ,he brought classical music to a new audience .He will continue to live on through his music.

    I was fortunate to have been in the Albert Hall for one of his concerts

    Absolutly wonderful.

    Thankfully we have his recordings to listen to

    No other voice or character like him

    Very sad[msnsad] I met him back in the 90's, he was a passenger on a Concorde flight to NY, he was travelling with his then assistant Nicoletta who he married in 2003 I think.He was very quiet on the flight and had trouble walking from the aircraft to the terminal[msnsad] God bless and rest in peace.
