Must be an early version I was looking at then. You could definately only import paylists and not pick and choose what you wanted to play on the phone and there was no wifi just something called 'edge' which does not work here but I understand to be slow. Looks like they have improved it quite quickly

It has wi-fi built in and worked really well when we tried it. As you travel it will automatically detect and connect to available wi-fi networks.
There is an application you can get to use it flawlessly with Exchange but this was released a short time after the iPhone came out.
The MP3 side of things: it's a normal iPod and works in the same way as an iPod. You can create playlists on the go the same way as you've always been able to do with iPods.

EDGE definitely works in UK and rest of Europe - it's what RIM Blackberrys use. It's quicker than normal GSM access, but not as fast as 3G. Good for email push and IM, but not really for internet access.

There is another phone currently on the market that is almost identical to the I Phone. I can't remember the name though. it is 3 letters...

Same looking maybe but I bet not the same ease of use which is all things Apple[msnwink]
The iPhone has been reduced by $200 and Steve Jobs is offering a $100 gift card to anyone who paid $499 for one[msnwink]
Hi all,
Watch the demo of the new ipod touch on Apple site... it looks awsome!!
Comes out October in UK 8gig - £199... 16gig - £269.
Not really saving much in the US as they start from $299 (exc. tax)
