That is a good deal. Flying to Miami does tend to be a little cheaper than direct into Orlando. By all accounts Iberi are not pretty good.

Have just typed in our details for next August and price comes up at £411.90 per person. We have never used Iberia and don't really know much about them. Why do you say they are not pretty good? If anyone has any experience of them, could you please share your views?

    Many thanks

We flew Iberia to Miami,on two occasions and they were fine. I would have no hesitation using them again.

Domster " by all accounts Iberi (sic) are not pretty good"

And have you any experience of Iberia ? Whose "accounts" ??

We flew Iberia this summer and the planes, leg room, service was first class. Beats the pants off BA , Air France and Swiss all of whom we've flown with before.

Please tell us what your prejudice against Iberia is based upon.

Anorak : Yes, the price came up as £411 and then by typing in "escape" you get a further £20 off. It should only be £20 per booking, but seeing as I logged off and re-logged on and made separate bookings for all the family, we got £20 off each fare !! Wayhay !! [:O]

I personally heartily recommend Iberia based on MY experiences and at £391 in the school holidays I'd be amazed if that price gets beaten this winter. [8D]

One thing you might want to do is to call the airline to try to join up all your bookings. If you are all booked as seperate bookings it's possible that you might end up seated apart. It's also possible, but highly unlikely I should add, that if the flights are overbooked, as most are during the summer, that it could get really sticky if the airline need to bump one or two passengers. If you all show up as singles on the airline's computers all bets are off.

I know everyone's motivations are different but personally I'd say you've got a reasonable deal IF you want to be in Miami. If you are heading to Orlando it's not great as you are chopping almost two days off your hols due to the travelling to and from. For my hard-earned I'd sooner pay a few quid extra and fly direct into Orlando. Horses for courses I guess.

Snapper : "I'd say you've got a reasonable deal IF you want to be in Miami"

Certainly do, we stay in Naples.

    "A reasonable deal" - School holidays ? £391? Reasonable ? !!
We've been for the past four years and the cheapest we've ever managed before is £547 - and that's shopping around on the internet.

As regards being bumped, we've been bumped before when we've travelled as a family on one booking ! I'm willing to take the slight risk. Already I'm £156 up on each person over this July just gone.

Like I said, if that doesn't qualify as a great deal, I don't know what does.

Oh, and Snapper, : "For my hard-earned I'd sooner pay a few quid extra "

Depends what you mean by " a few quid extra".

We are talking school holiday time here. Most folk will be paying around the £600 mark. In that case, a family of five will be shelling out over A THOUSAND QUID more. Suppose it depends how fat your wallet is.

As you say, horses for courses.

I only paid £1301 for 2 adults and 2 children = £325 per person with Virgin Manchester - Orlando direct this August with Opodo which in my view really was a great deal!!!!!!

For me persoanlly if I had to go via MAD and MIA with Iberia I would not consider it but like you say horses for courses[msnwink]
