I looked and the prices were £344 each way.
If you still get them cheaper, let me know....

I am trying to find some resonable price flights for Mike for November, but I most are coming up over £400. I have put Mikes dates into the BA website and it came up £299 each way [msnoo] That is £600 for November! Are they likely to come down nearer the time?

I think that may be the end of many Gatwick BA flights. I do hope so. Even Heathrow isn't too bad.

Those of us who work for BA at Gatwick would disagree with you, but with the regional staff all gone, we are well aware we are now the front line dispite assurances, but we carry on doing our best with the resorses we have. I agree though it is very frustrating having an airport on your doorsteep and no flights to where you want to go [msnoo]

There's been a problem with booking these sale fares on the BA site which they don't seem to have a quick fix for. I've had the same difficulty.

Go to Airline Network's site and you'll find some November BA availability for around £300.

I really think BA could sustain a route out of MAN -ORLANDO. The Virgin flights are always full.

That would be good but Virgin themselves are cutting their flights to Orlando this year so maybe the demand isn't as strong as they would wish.

BA do seem to be consolidating a lot of flights into LHR. We used to be able to fly MUC-LGW which was perfect for us, but now they only fly
MUC-LHR. So we switched to Easyjet into STN which although still not ideal is at least cheaper [msnsmile]

I don't think it is so much the demand, rather the demand for premium seats that guides the airlines. We all want cheaper seats, but full service airlines need to get good revenue from the business section to make it worth them putting on another aircraft. They often take away a less profitable service so they can use the aircraft to operate more flights on a more profitable route. This has shown up with the open skies opening Heathrow to new routes. Some airlines have withdrawn flights from the regions so they can use the aircraft from Heathrow
