    Mach 2.........the trip home

We got to DTD check-in at 8.15 am and there was already quite a big queue as I said on my other post and I have since spoken to others at the airport who were there later and it was really busy[msnsad] I think it is becoming a victim of its own success (although still a millon times better than check in at the airport) and they may have to increase the staff there. Got my D bulkhead seat again for the way back which was great as its my left leg which has been poorly, and is still very bruised[msnsad]

We then went to Celebration for our last breakfast of this holiday and I can really recommend the baked potato (home fries really) omelette[msntongue][msntongue] It was so gorgeous[clap][clap][clap] and very filling[clap]

We got back to the villa at about 1045 and sat by the pool for a few hours before showering and leaving for the airport[msnsad]

The journey to the airport took exactly 38 mins with no traffic from Calabay Parc using the I4 and the 417 sticking to the speed limit[msnsmile] The car needed to be back for 3pm (we got there at 2.58)[msnwink] otherwise we would have not bothered getting there that early and would probably have got there for 4pm and that would still have been plenty of time for the 1815 flight[msnsmile2]

Did a bit of shopping just for a change[msnwink] then went through security - which although looked busy did not take long[msnsmile2]

NB: Ladies I put my lip gloss x 2 and YD's medication in a clear pastic zip bag which was fine and I had a large handbag and my cabin bag on the way back too.

For those that have not been through security at MCO lately, laptops and cameras need to come out of your cabin bags plus shoes need to be x-rayed too[msnwink] and my crutches went through of course[msnsmile2]

Got down to gate 85 and it was very busy and very warm[msneek] so walked back to Starbucks and waited, then went back to the gate for boarding but it was delayed so eventually the waiting and standing up got the better of me and I had to use the wheelchair until boarding started[msnsad]

Met Jacqueline (ravtino) at the airport, and we saw each other again at Manchester, hope you got home OK Jacqueline, and it was lovely to meet you[clap][clap]

The flight was delayed for some unknown reason and although appologies were made we were not told why and eventually they started boarding at 6pm and we took off approx 40 mins late.

Flight back was very quick 7 hrs 40 mins ish, and after waiting for bags and finding ED who was picking us up we got home around 8.30[msnsmile2]

Had a couple of hours sleep as I did not sleep at all on the flight, I did get through quite a few episodes of West Wing though on my Powerbook, and clean clothes which were all washed at the villa[msnwink] are all unpacked, put away and we are ready for a Friday night curry from our favourite curry house - sorry ladies on the slimming thread, but I will be back on track very soon[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]

So another Florida trip over, we had a wonderful time, it was hot and sunny virtually the whole time and we only had one very very brief storm (unusual for August but this year they said it was due to the high pressure system)[msnwink] We are going back to Calabay Parc again in April and can't wait[clap][clap][clap]

The icing on the cake is that it is warm and sunny at home so we feel like we have brought a bit of the Florida sunshine home with us even if the temp is a touch lower[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]

    The End xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
