    Finally Going

    Hi again everyone,

Well i finally booked my flights yesterday , flying from Glasgow via Iceland with Icelandair on 3rd September. £459 adult £349 child inc. all taxes. The only cheaper flights i could find were with Virgin direct from manchester but once i included car hire to get us down there it didnt work out much cheaper at all.
I am in the process of booking a cracking looking villa in Aster Cove, Crescent Lakes anyone been there? How was it?

    Another couple of questions:

[u]Car Hire </u>- I am going to book the car hire from this site, can i book it this far in advance? Also what sort of size are there 8 seater vans i will have 5 adults 2 kids and too much luggage probably!

[u]Park tickets </u>- should i buy before i fly or get them over there?

many thanks from a very excited and slightly nervous Florida virgin[:I]

Crescent lakes is lovely, We have been there and have booked to go back next year. We
are going to Aster Cove as well so would be interested in what others have to say.

Im sure you can book your car this early, If you go to the page you can get a quote ete
and see what cars they do

As for tickets, I ordered mine from this site and had them sent to me in the UK, that way
we had them and no need to search around for tickets when we arrived, and they were a very good price.

    Hi Big Mack

Many congtrats on booking your holiday, enjoy the next year planning your vacation, that'll almost be as much fun as the holiday itself

With regard to the tickets, it will help spread the cost of the holiday, if you get them now rather than waiting until you get to Orlando.

The costs savings involved are not that significant in the overall scheme of things, so whether you buy them here or over there it doesn't make a huge difference.

There are various Web Sites that offer discounts and tickets including this one so spend a few days shopping around to see who has the best deal.

Have fun planning and any questions then feel free to ask.

    Hi Big Mack,

Yes you can book car hire as long in advance as you like. You only have to pay a $25 deposit when booking over 8 weeks in advance - so really there should be nothing stopping you completing all the planning/booking now.

    Have a great one.

Hi Big Mack, we've booked with Icelandair ex Glasgow for March and our flight was also the cheapest at the time (£313 for an adult). We are going to try and book up to go again in September so we'll probably have to start looking for flights soon
    Have fun !

If you're thinking of going to Seaworld and/or Busch Gardens they offer a system called EZPay on most tickets, lets you pay interest free over 11 months

You can buy the tickets in advance and they email you a web link to your vouchers which you can print off and then present them at park reception when you get there. The tickets are valid from the date of 1st use, we bought our annual passes last September and used them in December so if we get to go back before December 10th this year we've still got free admission

    Thanks everyone,

I have now booked our villa and will book car hire this week, £532 for an eight seater with gold option insurance, brilliant

Park tickets not so brilliant. The cheapest i have found so far are from this site, still a lot of money though when you have a wife and two kids. I am surprised that they dont offer a family ticket like a lot of parks here do! A five day Disney hopper plus and a Universal 4 park flex ticket combines at over £1000 for the four of us GULP!! I am probably being a tad optimistic however and will probably only manage one of the Universal parks plus Sea World. Still works out at about £120 for the four of us to get into either Universal, Sea World or IOA. Decisions..decisions!

The best value for money has got to be the villa at just over £1000 for 15 nights in a cracking four bed villa, outstanding.

By the way does anyone think i will struggle getting 5 adults 2 kids and luggage into an eight seater cityvan?

    Thanks again

    Mack

Don't forget if you don't use up all your Disney Hopper tickets, you can keep them for your next visit...

You don't need much luggage! T-shirts, shorts, etc with perhaps a light jacket for the evenings. You'll have a huge washer and dryer in your villa (so you can 'recycle') and, if you pack too much stuff, you'll have no room to get your 'goodies' back home!

    Hi Mack,

You should have no problem with 5 adults and 2 kids, but the luggage may be a bit tight. However remember that the luggage is only for the run from and to the airport.

Have a great time and I'm sure you will love Crescent lakes, it's a wonderful area to be in. Thats why we picked it for our villa.
