Without the Kids!!! Jouney to Airport

This will be our first trip without the kids. Daughter(23)staying at home [msneek] Our two sons 12 & 15 going to my parents caravan in Wales.

August 8th
Decided to take the National Express coach upto Manchester Airport. This will be our first time flying from this airport. Our coach was due to leave at 1.25pm. Arrived at the coach station Daughter on lunch break, so decided to wave us off. Left Bristol at 1.15pm, had to stop on the way for 45 mins to change drivers. Arrived at Manchester at 17.45pm very hot journey, not sure if the air con was working[msncry]. When we arrived at the coach station, went straight through the doors and spotted a telephone for all local hotels. rang the Crowne Plaza and by te time we went outside tge driver was waiting to take s to the hotel. This took about 3 mins. went straight to our room, which was very modern and clean, dumped bags and went down to the bar for a well deserved drink. Had a meal in Sampans (Thai, Malaysian and Chinese food)had a Malaysian dish which was wonderful, even ate the meal with chopsticks[msnsmile2]. Washed down with a bottle of wine. Returned to room and had a early night as we needed to be up early.

Hi, it's great to hear your trip report.

It must be strange going on holiday without the kids for the first time. How do they feel about it?

Wish my Kids would go to a caravan in Wales and let me off on my own
