Has anyone bought PS3 games or Blue Ray discs in the USA to play on a UK PS3 and found that they play successfully?

I was told in the Games Stop in Florida three weeks ago that all PS3 games are not region coded and will work in a UK PS3. However the Blu Ray DVD movie discs are region coded and will not work.

Thanks, we were told today in the Sony shop at Millenia Mall that there was no region coding on the PS3 on either games or BR DVD but we did wonder if it was correct info[msnwink][msnwink]
I'm pretty sure their is no issue on the games side, howeve I do believe there can be problems on the Blue Ray side
Funny because I have been tempted to go out and get Madden 2008 released here today at midnight
My son bought Oblivion in USA and had no problems playing it. We've pre ordered Warhawk which comes out tomorrow on the day we travel home. $60 with free Blue Ray head set. Not sure if that will work at home!

Whilst on the subject of games, does anyone know if you can play US Nintendo Wii games on a UK console.
We go over to Florida in a few weeks and I was wondering if I can get some games over there for the Kids.
Thanks in advance.

Wii games are region coded and US games will not work on a UK Wii.

Thanks for the info. I thought that the Wii might be region free, but obviously no such luck. Will just have to pay UK prices.
