    Hi Caroline,
Cinnabons would not survive the journey even in hang luggagem my family would probably have eaten then before the plane left the ground.
We bring back a jar or two of Blue Cheese dressing from Walmart or Publix (senior moment cannot remember the make) but it is fabulous, none compare to it over here just wrap it well and pop in case, never a problem, same with chocolate.

We always bring the pecan pies from Wall Mart back and a couple of there sweet loafs of bread that my daughter loves. Never ever in all the years of travelling have I even been asked if I had any food stuff when I have returned to the UK!!

I always bring back a few boxes of lucky charms, so I can't see why this would be a problem.

Never had a problem bringing any food stuffs back. I think common sense prevails.

With Xmas coming up I am now thinking more about what I can take in to the US[xmas2]

Just take them on as hand luggage - they wouldn't survive the journey in the case!

[/quote] Tut tut Julie, honey is on the list of prohibited products [msnwink] Having said that there is conflicting information. The extract below from a gov website says NO, but the 'If in doubt leave it out' leaflet, says a maximum of 1 kilo is allowed from certain countries. The good news is that the U.S.A is one you can bring it back from . Could they make it any more complicated / confusing?!

'Meat, milk and other animal products (such as fish, eggs and honey) from outside the EU are banned completely from entering the UK. The only exceptions to this are:

powdered infant milk, infant food and special foods required for medical reasons which do not need to be refrigerated and are proprietary branded products, with packaging intact unless in current use
meat, meat products, milk or milk products for your own consumption from Andorra, Norway, San Marino, the Canary Islands and the Channel Islands
meat, meat products, milk or milk products for your own consumption from Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Switzerland, with a combined total weight of not more than 5kg and
from some other countries you are allowed to bring in up to 1kg of food not containing meat or milk derivatives eg fish, eggs and honey. For advice call the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), 08459 335577 or visit www.defra.gov.uk '
