    US TV

Ok so I am here and just wondering what I should be watching on all these TV channels available to me

The Hulk Hogan reality show is becoming a bit of a favourite on VH1 currently

but there must be other shows I should be tuning into

Apart from Mr Beckhams LA Galaxy being shown on one of the spanish channels

I don't know if the 3rd series of Prison Break is on in the states at the moment, can't wait for it to come over here. Series 1+2 were unmissable.

We returned from Florida last week, we did not get an oportunity to watch much TV, however we did watch Baseball. If you have an evening free, it is worth going to Lakeland (spring traing ground for the Detroit Tigers)and watching the Lakeland Flying Tigers play. They are in the Florida State league. The gate price was $6, a great evening of all American entertainment.

I love the American TV and to be honest it's mostly what we watch here, things such as Americas Finest etc CSI, Law and Order, The Sheild, Cold Case, Criminal Minds but my favourite is The Closer.

I also love the cookery channels. (I especially love Ace of Cakes a mans mans Baker and the kitchen stadium cook offs but I suppose you would need to be a foodie to enjoy those).

We aslo have the Fox soccer chanel so hubby is happy as he gets his fix and there is also UK programming with the digital cable if you have that and are homesick for Cash in the Attic etc....no I thought not!

We also prefer to watch American series as listed above by CDV except for the shield. We have a house in Spain and on a recent trip a Spanish channel was showing the Closer and now we're hooked on that as well. Have managed to get DVD's of series 1 and 2 and if I was out in US now that's what I'd be watching as the new series has started. Unfortunately when we are out in November it will have finished but maybe it wont be too long before it's released on DVD.

The Fox Soccer Channel kept me going while I was out there in June. The nightly Sky Sports News show was a god send!!

As well as the Weather Channel (I dunno why that's so fascinating in the US - the weather forecast is boring in the UK), we like all the crime programmes (Dr G, the Kissimmee Coroner on Discovery Health at 9 pm on Fridays is our favourite), we got hooked on all the court cases (similar to Judge Judy type of thing) as some of them are really good entertainment.

While we do have no end of sports channels (including Fox Sport) but don't bother to watch any of those - it's a female thing! [msnwink]
