Its not that scary, the haunted houses can be intense of you dont like the dark. I would not take small children to Universal as it is more of an adult atmosphere.
To be honest the best fun to be had is going around trick or treating on the 31st.

Really it is just very dark in the houses and people in masks jump out at you as you feel your way around. They were advertising for Horror Night scarers in the local newpaper the other week, $7 an hour, must have a loud "boo". That brings the reality home to you!! There was a guy running around with a chain saw last year, now he was pretty scary. Last year Scream House in Seuss Corner was by far the best house and that is the only one they have retained this year with Scream House Revisited. The Bill and Ted show is also retained but is a new show which is a pity as last years was a scream and a bit risque too.

We chickened out , our 17 year old decided Mickeys not so scary Halloween party sounded more fun and not quite so realistic, and this from an Angel and Buffy addict?[}]

We will be in Orlando next week and have the Orlando 4 park flextickets - can we use these to get in to the Horror Nights?

    Hi Lesley
Unfortunately not - it's a separately ticketed event.
Apparently they clear the park out at 5 or 5.30 to get ready for the evening

Thats where they make most of their money, they should at least let the people that are in the park stay in but like Caroline said they empty the park at a certain time and then let everyone back in again who has purchased a HHN ticket for the evening.

As I posted elsewhere, it isnt really worth paying to go to IOA in the daytime at present. There is a lot shut for refurb, more because it is being used for the Horror Nights and on top of that they shut early to kick you out to prepare for the Horror Night. Better to just go for the Horror Night as most of the big rides such as Spiderman and the Hulk are open then anyway.
