Think we cancelling holiday

We are so upset.....
Think we may have to cancel our trip to Florida this yr due to redundancy......
Have only paid deposit, rest due in few months, but i think under the circumstances we will have to prioritise and a holiday isn't top.
I am gutted as we were so looking forward to this trip.We have had quite a rough yr and think we deserve this holiday more than anything, but again, as always, something stands in our way.
How do you lose that empty sensation???

Don't think of it as cancelling more like postponing. You never know what is around the corner, good luck in finding a new job soon and you mightn't need to postpone at all.

So very sorry, RF Why not give it 24 hours to brainstorm and see of a way. Maybe if you pooled all the money you would normally spend on birthday or Christmas gifts? Or perhaps you could temp til something more permanent came along.

In your circumstances, a fab holiday to look forward to may be just the boost you need to move on.

For various reasons we cancelled our last 2 planned trips and I am so glad we did, we are now going in 5 weeks and you will be amazed how quickly time flies[msnwink]

I can honestly say I know how you feel but the empty sensation fads quickly once you make the decision and move on[grouphug][grouphug][grouphug]

Like Paula says rather than cancel see if you can change the dates for next year without losing your deposit - I know Virgin Holidays do this for a small admin fee which again you don't pay now its added to your final bill so even if you have to cancel next year its not cost you a penny[msnwink]

You know what they say {THERE IS LIFE AFTER } it is a very good saying as we went though the same thing a few times and all we can say do not let it spoil all things .

Been there,[grouphug] just consider it as postponment, worth waiting for a new date. Look at it that way and set yourself a target day and life seems a lot brighter. Need a positive to look forward, helps the grey days. We were lucky soon came through it but tough for a little while there and then time rushed past and the new holiday date arrived.

sorry to hear your job news and I hope there is something around the corner for you, I agree with others too once the decision is made to postpone that empty feeling will be gone and you can then refocus on when you can go, not easy but there is always a reason, keep smiling[8D]

We can't make a decision yet due to a few reasons,so it's a little wait until we know for sure.
