US- UK dictionary

This is supposed to be a guide to Orlando and in all guides to European destinations, there is always a phrase book/simple dictionary at the back. You might say 'unnecessary' as we and the Americans speak the same language but do we really?? Someone once said that we are two nations divided by the same language and that is bound to be true. For example, who really rests in a restroom and what the hell is a swap meet??? Whilst we, as regular visitors, may be used to Americanisms and use them routinely, first time visitors to the US must be bemused/confused by them. So perhaps we could do a simple list of 'translations' with everyone adding to it. Would a new forum be appropriate, John, or is this the sort of thing to put in the general holiday tips section??

Excellent idea, I think of "quiet" as being peaceful whereas someone else told me that Americans think of it as being fun loving??
