Massive choice of excellent restaurants on 192 to suite all budgets and tastes
<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Personally we haven't been to the buffet style restaurants since the kids were little and we were on a very tight budget (1996). There are loads of great places to eat on the 192 for £10 per head.

Its funny how we all start off in florida with the likes of Ponderosa and find them great, and after a few years of visiting wouldn't be seen anywhere near them!

We are returning to Florida in Jan 2008 for sixth time. We often call into Ponderosa or somthing simaler on the way home to Hampton Lakes on the 27. Does the last posting suggest there is much better places to dine at not much more expence Also forgive my ignorance but is root beer 0% alcohol, i normally drive during the day so never touch alcohol but you do get bored drinking fizzy pop
many thanks

Root beer could be considered fizzy pop, though, a bit like Dandelion and Burdock (if that helps). If you want a non-alcoholic more grown up drink you could try O'Douls - a non-alcoholic beer (less than 0.5% alcohol by volume).
I agree, it's like Germalene ( sorry if that is spelt wrong ) YUK ! disgusting !<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by blott

Promised I would repaort on the new Gators Dockside now open at Cagan Crossings.
Basically a pub (sports bar is the American term), it was OK we did not eat but others did around us and seemed to be enjoying wings and other such things - beer OK but of course I could only have the one being as I was in the car but I am sure it will do OK. The one thing they do need is a light over the pool table as it was like playing bowls in the twilight.
I wholly recommend Kumo Restaurant, as one of the best Japanese restaurants in the Orlando area, or surrounding area. I just love the menu, sushi bar, and the wait staff/hostess is always polite and helpful without being too pushy. Just great!
Also, the Cagan Town Center is totally filling up with great shops and restaurants. They even have a new bakery there. It is a must visit area for sure!
