we are just back after flying with MY Travel and wanted to say they were brilliant, yes it was PG but our son has a broken neck and they couldn't have been more helpful , they were friendly and the service was brilliant.

We flew with them recently from Manchester Economy and were very pleased. No complaints at all.
What I did prefer is the fact that the toilets were downstairs. I always feel sorry for people who are on the aisle seats at the back near the toilets. It must be a pain for them having people queuing past them all the time. At least with the toilets downstairs (think there are 5 or 6 you didn't get this.
Nikki I have never met such a nice bunch of crew. don't get me wrong that was our 3rd time with them and they have always been good but this load were exeptional, hope I have jinxed us now [msneek] as have booked to fly with them again next year

We flew with them 3 years ago, because it was the school hols they were the only ones who had availability. It was cramped the tv didn't work properly and generally depressing, all of these things I would put up with glady if it had been a bargain price, however I paid nearly £2700 for 2 adults and 2 kids, flydrive.Virgin were a similar price and TravelCity were under 2k, but like I said earlier they were full. (my fault for booking too late)

Hi, can anyone help? this is my first time on the forums and I hope some one can answer my questions. We have been to Florida before and travelled cattle class. We decided this time we would splash out and travel 1st class with Travel City Direct. Friends have been with these before and had no problems. Its cost us over £6000 for us, our daughter and her friend. Then we got the letter in the post to say that they have reviewed their Winter schedule and they are putting us on a MyTravel Flight in their Premiair Cabin.
We paid an extra £339 each for the upgrade and they are giving us £100. discount each, we have lost 9" on the leg room 45" to 36"(we are all really tall over 6ft)and 10kl on the luggage.
Is the Premiair cabin any good. I just feel like we have been ripped off slightly.
We booked to go with My travel in 2002 and lost £300 deposit as there was such bad press about liquidation and cancelled flights we changed our minds and booked with someone else. I seem to find more bad than good reports about them in the internet.
Thanks
Clare
Clare, if you are at all unhappy why not ring them up and ask for a total refund and book with Virgin or First Choice. They have totally changed your contract so there should be no problem getting a refund. I don't know how many of you there are but if you are travelling in the winter I would have thought you should be able to book flights for less than £6000.

Clare[/quote]The comfort difference between 45" & 36" seat pitch is a big one so the £100 offer is pretty poor. I don't want to re-open the regular forum debate about Travel City Direct but I'd rather stay at home that fly with them.
Are you saying that the £6,000 is for flights alone and that there are just 4 of you? If so, you will have no problem at all finding good alternative flights. If I'm right in thinking that it's actually for flights, accomodation and extras then it might be a different story. It might also be more difficult to cancel completely.
It is exactly what you would expect from TCD.
Hi, sorry your flights have been changed Clare. I have traveled with both company's and had no problem at all. MT upgrade at busy times is an extra £269, not to sure how much at less busy times. The premium cabin in MT was really nice and the staff were really nice too. TCD also have much later flight leaving the uk than MT. I know a few hours don't seem like much when booking but it is nice to get to the villa before it gets dark. I know I babble but I'm sure you get what I'm saying.
