school holidays

Children aren't ALLOWED time off school, but the school are able to give grant authorised absence (subject to local authority guidelines), for things such as family holidays

we have taken our children on holiday during term time almost every year, we dont ask for permission to take them as we consider them our children and not the property of HM government.a letter from us to the school explaining why they will be missing is sent as soon as our hols are booked. they have learnt and seen things that could never be taught in a classroom.
