    Halloween at Disney

I just got the cost of this night and it is quite high. Is there specials for the Halloween celebrations closer to the dates? Is this worth the money? Has anyone gone to this celebration before?

    Thanks for all the advice

We went to the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, 2 years ago. The parks closes at 6pm and the then reopens for the party at 7pm until mid night (We went a few days before Halloween). All the characters are dressed up in Halloween costumes and the park too was decorated Halloween style. We didn't bother to dress up but i would say that 75% of the guests did and we felt like the odd ones out. It was a great atmosphere and a good time was had by all, well worth the money IMHO.
We walked straight onto all off the rides as the park was not that full and most people were interested in having their photos taken with the characters.

Personally I have loved the many we have done over the years. That said, with a now almost 15 year old, we wouldn't do to Disney's, we now go to Universal, not for the feint hearted.[msneek]
Disney is ALWAYS great for the younger children, IMHO
The dressing up is all part of the fun, especially for the children

Yes, we loved it done it twice, although we had a chance last year for Universal, and would not go again, until the kids are a lot older, much more adult entertainment.

You could wait until the day and you get a discount on the tickets, but they sell out really fast, we have always prebooked our tickets.

They limit the amount of people that enter the parks, and the rides are fairly quiet the parardes go on twice a night for the young ones that will not survive the late night. So everyone gets a chance at seeing everything. You also get goody bags and there are treat stops all around the parks. We cam home with nearly a suitcase full of candy.
