    July 4th

Hi I just wanted to ask anyone who has been in florida for July 4th where is good to go that night. Id rather not go the parks as i should imagine they would be pretty full that day.
I thought about booking tickets on this night for the Blue Men Group then we would be out and I would imagine universal would have something on, but i dont want to do anything if I could find somewhere in the kissemmee area that has something on. thanks.

I was just going to point you to a couple threads - good you found the info! You definitely want to be someplace where you can see a great fireworks display. The lakefront in Kissimmee is a good place to go for festivities and fireworks.

Thanks Very much for that. I promise to look before I leap in future. I think we might go where you sugested though that way I wont be too far from the villa as being a taxi driver in liverpool you get quite sick of sitting in traffic. Thanks again

At what time are the fireworks normally started? and also I have read about getting to celebration early, what time is thought to be early?

The fireworks at the Kissimmee lakefront begin at 9:00 p.m. and at Celebration, the fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. this year.

I'd think if you did a look around the stores and then had meal there, you'd have time for a stroll around the lake, etc before the fireworks start.

We went to the Kissimmee lakefront, there was a great atmosphere. We got there quite late but parking wasn't a problem as long as you don't mind walking, just found a place in the street. Wish we'd been able to get there earlier as there was masses to do but it all finished when the fireworks were over.
Have also been to Seaworld. Absolutely awesome firework show and not horrendously crowded. Have to say we preferred the more local atmosphere of Kissimmee. Would probably try Celebration if it wasn't for the possible parking problem.
You'll have a great time wherever you go.
    Nina.
