Visa waiver form left in passport

    Hi,
when we returned in January from our last trip my mother in law discovered her green visa waiver form still in her passport and to date has not sorted it out. I looked up this old thread but I am not sure if the info is still current - http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/topic_12959.asp.

Has anyone had this problem recently and does anyone know where to send it.
    Thanks
    Heidi

    Heidi, try this link http://london.usembassy.gov/dhs/cbp/i94.html

It instructs you what to do if you are still in possession of the I-94 or I-94W. Hope this helps.

Heidi do make sure you sort it or she could have problems on re-entry into the US.

    Hi,
Sorry to hijack the thread but does anyone know the procedure if entering the US by car via Canada(having flown into Canada)with the intention of flying back to the UK from the USA.

We have flown into the US, got the green visa form, driven into Canada where it is left in the passport , then driven back into the USA a couple of weeks later and flown home after having the green stub taken at the US airport as normal. All very straight forward but we may be visiting via Canada as per the 1st paragraph above.

    thanks,
    andrew

You don't get any confirmation that it has arrived, so take a photo copy of your return ticket/e-ticket/boarding card and the departure green card to take with you next time in case there is a problem, though this is very unlikely. It has happened to us more than once. First time 20ish years ago, it was still in my passport when we returned, second to my son and I sent it to the embassy, no probs for his next trip, third time to me again [msnembarrased] my husband gave it in when he went back the following month. Again no probs for my next trip [msnsmile2]

You get the visa waiver form at the border, but you have to pay a fee of $6.

They will almost certainly ask to see your ticket out of the US.
