All the parks have special additions to their night-time programs. Also, Kissimmee puts on a large fireworks display, accompanied by a variety of entertainment beginning at noon. There's no charge and this is located between Monument and Ruby Streets along the lakefront.

Other places for firewords displays include St. Cloud lakefront and Lake Eola Park.

Parks do tend to be busy but would recommend Celebration plenty of activity around the streets, nice places to eat and a great firework display in the evening. Go early though as parking can be a bit of a nightmare.

    Hi Mary
We have been over a few times on 4th July. We have found Downtown Kissimmee, by the lakeside to be our favourite place.
Throughout the afternoon they have numeruos activities including 3 stages with different types of music from country & western, barber shop singers to groups. It has a local feel to the whole event, with lots to see and do. Most things are free (except the food)and it goes on into the evening. It climaxes with a huge firework display over the lake.
Parking is limited, however they do offer a free park and ride from Albertsons supermarket on the John Young Parkway (just south of Highway 192).
We wish we could be there this year.
Where ever you go in the USA on the 4th July you should have a good time.
By the way, our little darlings are slightly older than yours and they enjoy it there.
    Nigel

These ideas sound great, we fly on he 4th of July so won't be able to get anywhere early on in the day, I think we land about 2.35pm, so by the time we get through the airport and onto the villa, it will be late afternoon, would you suggest I still give any of the suggestions above a go?
    Thanks
    vicky

I think we got to Celebration later afternoon last July 4th so would be no problem arriving a little later.
Highly recommended with lots of things to do and a big main stage at the bottom of Market Street.

It has to rate in my top 10 'things I have done whilst in Florida' list and would love to do it again.
