tues 27th march
well a pretty rotten start for Roger he was awake most of the night with a high temperature and possibly a chest infection with it[msnsad] we both think he overdid it in the pool so i let heim sleep in and spent the morning looking after the kids and trying my best to keep them quietly occupied
dh awake and dressed just before lunch, he was still feeling ropey but not going to let a high temp spoil his holiday[msneek] we headed to walgreens and bought some paracetamol and some throat lozenges, with all his coughing he gave himself a sore throat, we had agreed to give it 24hours and if the temp wasn't down then it was off to the walk in medical centre just up the road
anyhow with Roger back up and running he was easily persuaded into a spot of shopping this time we had planned to find a super target, i wanted to check out the bedding and James was promised a nintendo ds (walmart and other shops all sold out) we found the shop easily and finally got ds his DS and games to go with it, we also had a good snoop around the food aisles and the pet section, it was the first time we'd ever left our Olly since we'd got him and we were all starting to miss him[msnsad]
he's such a sweetie look!
we bought him some new toys and stopped just short of a smart grey hoodie with diamonte vicious logo on it, the kids were very keen on the hoodie but dad said NO!
anyhow back to topic, back home just in time for a snack and then we had Julie (J Brinkworth) and her family over for a visit, she has a lovely family and it was great to meet up, after spending lots of hours chatting on the slimming topic we spent a good few more that night[msnsmile2]
wed 28th march Animal Kingdom
Roger much improved today and although he still had sore throat and was coughing his temp had gone down enough for him to feel up to a them park so it was Everest here we come[msnscared]
we started day with lazy brekkie and splash in pool then headed out around 11am with stop off for lunch, we stopped off at Shoneys, it was a buffet lunch and was ok but not a place i'd rush to visit again, our veggie teen queen was well catered for here though with salad bar, catfish and spagetti with a tomato based sauce so at least she was happy, both dh and ds hit the buffet too but i was not too keen instead i opted for a grilled chicken breast sandwich with the salad bar as an added extra option
so after lunch it was off to Ak, this park seemed the quietest of them all so far and i like that, we decided to bite the bullet and head straight for Everest, i. very proud to ay that i did it!!!![msnsmile2] twice[msnoo] it's a bit stomach churning, especially after lunch but not too bad, given the option of tower of terror (which did terrify me) or Everest i'd choose the latter
after everest we headed off to primeval whirl, another stomach churning ride and then off to see flights of fantasy show with a frozen mocha in hand it was nice to sit down and relax for a short while
we followed this show with kilamanjaro safaris the highlight of which was we got to see the new baby giraffe awwwww, another sweetie[msnsmile]
followed this with another sit down show, festival of the lion king - never seen this before and we all enjoyed it[clap]
kiddies getting tired so with one last stop to get soaked on kali river rapids that was the end of our day in the AK, headed back to the car and back home, kids straight into pool and another salad supper by the pool

tommorrow ....... cocoa beach parasailing!
