Sony DSC H2 vs Canon S3 IS

This ones for the camera experts.

I'm ready to invest in a new camera and have come down to these 2 "super zooms"

I can get the Sony at Sam's club for $299 and the Canon is on a special at Best buy for $329 so they are in the same kind of price range.

Does anyone own either model, have any comments about them, pro's cons etc?

There is some buying advice on these cameras in the March edition of
What Digital Camera. Page 96. They also give the Sony 87% & the Canon
89%. Pages 145 & 146. Hope this helps. Not sure of its availability in the states though[?]

I decided on the Sony, and so far it seems excellent.

Would really like to see that article though, will have to look out for it.
