Any guests/owners at Emerald Island or Oak island able to pass comment on how noisy/different things are now that the new road is now open south of the 192?

My home is very close to Oak Island and I was staying there at Christmas. I didn't notice anything. Most homes on Emerald island will not be affected at all as they are a considerable distance from the beltway.
The owner of any villas on here will be able to give you exact details if you ask them. That's the beauty of being able to book directly with the owner.

Hi our villa is on oak island cove, as we are on the east side of oak island we are out of sight and sound of the road, we were there in January and it made no difference to us at all,we went around the estate to see if the road was open, as far as we can see the only houses that are affected are those few that face the road on the west side of the estate although a great deal of trees have been planted which hide the road even from these homes.

Thanks for both of your replies.

The home we are staying in (and stayed at last time) is a Town House in the Phase 2 development of Emerald island and is approximately 150 Yards from the Beltway (or the construction site as it was the last time we were there).

The noise from the construction site wasn't that bad and i just wondered what it was like now. The owner didn't know last time i asked him as he hadn't been over himself since it opened and hadn't had any feedback from guests either.

I would have thought if there was a problem with noise then the owner would have had some feed back of the guests so i'm sure thqat you will be ok, enjoy your stay, we fly out four weeks on Saturday
