Sawgrass Mills

Hi

Does anyone know of an organised trip from Orlando/Kissimee to the mall at Sawgrass? We are going over again in May and we both really love shopping!! We have been to and throughly enjoy the Orlando malls however looking at the website Sawgrass is something else!!

We went several years ago and spent a day there....I don't think we made it to the other end!!!

It is well worth a visit we went in FEBUARY and will go back next time as did not see it all lots of shops and places to eat as well .
Take lots on money as there are some lovely things to buy .

I have never heard of this Mall, is it far from Orlando? and how does it compare to the Malls in orlando?.

Just got the directions off their website. Having read the list of stores etc there, I'm planning a trip there as soon as possible![msnwink]

Sawgrass Mills is located two miles north of
Interstates 75 and 595, just off the Sawgrass
Expressway interchange. Sawgrass Mills is
11 miles west of the city of Fort Lauderdale,
and a 30-minute drive from both Miami
and Boca Raton.

Not aware of any trips there to be honest. We called in there when we were visiting F. Lauderdale. I wasn't especially wowed by the place. I thought it was quite pricey for Florida. Big though

Its an enormous mall in the shape of an alligator!![msneek]
Visited once many years ago but the kids were too young to appreciate shopping so I didn't get much done[msncry][msncry][msncry]

We first visited Sawgrass Mill back in 1990 and from what we could remember this was brilliant back then. We decided to make the 31/2 - 4 hour trip again on our last visit in August only to be very disapointed. I can't disput there were many shops to visit but we perfer the Florida Mall, the prices are on a par with Sawgrass Mill.

I went there a few times when I was working in Boca Raton. Its huge, plenty of shops. One time I did forget what entrance I came in and had trouble finding the car.

Well worth a trip is you like discount malls
