We intend to buy an IPOD whilst out there. It will be for our eldest son for his birthday which occurs whilst we are there.
Any tips?
Are there any compatability issues?
Thanks

No problems with compatabilty, there's a great Apple store at the Millenia Mall. The guarantee is honoured by the Apple stores here so no problems there either.
We bought a Nano and a 30 gig Video Ipod when we were over last November and both work fine. you can charge them up in a docking station or via the usb cable.
They are price fixed so you will pay the same price in what ever shop you buy it from.

Cheers.
Not certain what a docking station is..I assume that you can plug the usb cable into a PC to charge up the other way.
Roughly what should we pay for a Nano?
Thanks

Docking stations are separate and can be used to connect to your stereo system or TV (for the video iPod)
Prices range from $149 for the 2 Gb to $249 for the 8Gb
Get a docking system if you can and the price is right!-you can then play your IPOD without headphones by slotting it into the docking system-It also allows you to link it in to your sound system so in effect you can get 1,000+ of your favourite tracks shuffling through your top notch system all from a little box--We also found it useful in the villa as you can take them anywhere.
The Apple store itself is top notch-I was able to get free internet access within the store to check e mails whilst browsing and trying out the very latest IPOD gadgets
I bought a 30gb one for my husband when we were out there - paid $289.00[clap][clap][clap][clap]

That is a video iPod, not a nano. But great anyway.
I bought myself a black 60Gb video iPod from Millenia Applestore a couple of years ago when they first came out
Chris,
I know it's a video IPod - I have an 8gb nano myself (which as the same price is GBP as it was for the 30gb video Ipod in America!)
Dixon's had an offer on in Duty free for the 8gb black Nano, yuo also got a silicone skin and a screen protector for £153.00
Nano's are sweet, but for the money, I would buy a video IPod in Florida as they are much better value for money.[msnwink]
