We are off to China in May to visit our son and his family. Cheapest flights that come up are BA, however there is not much difference. Has anyone had experience of any airlines on this kind of flight.
Thanks
Mary

Hi
We flew to China with Air France. Never as long as I live would I get on an Air France plane! We flew Birmingham to Paris then Paris to China, 17 hrs total. When we took off on the return from Beijing they sprayed the whole aircraft with insect spray and it's all you could taste for the whole flight home. They never asked if anyone suffered from asthma or if they would be affected by the spray they just did it.
We went to Hong Kong at Christmas and flew Virgin Atlantic and it was a great flight so if we ever did China again (doubtful due to the toilet facilities!!!) I would fly to Hong Kong and transfer from there.
Hope this helps
Anita
My parents flew with BA to China. They had no problems and would fly with them again. The only problem they had was with a connecting flight from Manchester which was delayed. In future they would make their way to London the day before.
Have a wonderful time.[msnsmile2]

AIR TOURS was on tv last week and they are doing packages to CHINA do not know if you can do flight only .
It is worth asking them .
DELTA are good but do not know if they go to CHINA via UK they have a office in LONDON and they will tell you which route they do .
Enjoy you holiday and visiting your family .

I have flown BA to Hong Kong many times but not to China, but if I were to go there I would def use BA - I would feel more secure should things go pear shaped.[msnwink]
I have also flown China Airlines from KL to Hong Kong - never again![msnsad]
That's good with BA coming up cheapest at the moment. The other airlines I looked at have gone up by £200-300. Should have booked a couple of months ago, but had to be sure they would be there in May.
Thanks for the advice guys. China here we come ......
By the way Julie, I have dm'd you.
