AMeEx Travellers cheque card

Just heard about this card you can use instead of cheques issued by American Express.

Are their claims true that they can be used in restaurants etc in the US?

Seems a good idea.

My daughter took one and used it with no problem at all in a variety of places. I just used my other plastic but Gemma said there were no problems at all- you can't of course overdraw when the credit has run out the card is rejected so you'd have to keep an eye on what you were spending.
