Do they still offer you the choice of car within the category you have paid for? I have noticed that thye seem to be in partnership with national car Rental, does that mean I can queue for them if the Alamao q is horrendous?

More often than not, unless very busy, you can choose the car you like within the category booked.
Although part of the same company, you can only queue at the Alamo desk.
